  • What is the Changed Retreat?
The Changed Retreat is an opportunity for any woman, no matter what age or stage of life, to get away from the demands of the world and press in closer to Jesus. We hold two retreats per year, once in the spring and once in the fall, that begin on a Thursday evening and end at noon the following Sunday. We use worship music, teaching sessions, and guided periods of reflection to help women understand that their identity is in Christ and not in what the world says they could or should be. Our desire is that every woman leaves retreat knowing she is loved, irreplaceable, and pursued by God.
  • How old do you have to be to attend retreat?
Women must be 18 years or older to attend the Changed Retreat.
  • Where is the retreat located?
The Changed Retreat is held at Camp WOW (Walk on Water) at 8256 Diagonal 1500 Rd. in Stuart, Oklahoma. It is located in eastern Oklahoma and is 2 hours east of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 2 hours south of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 2.5 hours west of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and a little over 3 hours north of the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area.
  • Can I room with my friends?
We will make every effort to place you in the same room as your friends. When you register for retreat, there is a place on the form for you to request your friends as roommates. If you’ve already registered and want to make a change, just email info@changedokc.com.
  • What should I pack for retreat?
An information email will be sent to retreat registrants at two weeks and one week before retreat. If someone registered on your behalf, the email will go to their email address.
  • What activities are available?
We offer plenty of activities that will bring out your artistic, competitive, and adventurous sides. During free time, you can enjoy activities like zip-lining, canoeing, hiking, playing games in the gameroom, watching movies in the Worship Center, and more. The full schedule of free and paid activities will be available at retreat check-in, and registration will be available on-site. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted.
  • Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Camp WOW can accommodate certain medically restricted diets. However, we cannot guarantee there will not be any cross-contamination. If you have a severe allergy, you’re welcome to bring food with you. You will have 24-hour access to a refrigerator and microwave to prepare your food. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact info@changedokc.com.
  • How do I let someone know about my special needs?
If you are pregnant or have a medically restricted diet, trouble walking long distances, or another medical condition we need to know about, please notify us through registration. Please note, special needs refers to medically necessary accommodations as we are unable to accommodate special preferences.
  • Do you coordinate carpooling?
While we recommend carpooling, we do not officially orchestrate a carpool.
  • Do you accept credit cards at retreat?
We do accept cash, checks, and credit cards for activities and last-minute registrations. The Camp WOW Snack Shack has a $10 minimum for credit card purchases, so we recommend bringing cash for snack purchases.
  • Is Changed sponsored by a church?
Changed Women’s Ministries is a 501(c)3 organization and is not affiliated with any church or denomination.
  • How can I volunteer with Changed Women’s Ministries?
For your first Changed Retreat, we want you to rest in Jesus’ presence and focus on growing closer to Him without serving the women around you. Once you’ve attended at least one retreat, you are able to choose from several volunteer teams that work to create an environment where women can encounter God. You can also serve on the team that promotes the Changed Retreat year round. To volunteer with Changed, email volunteer@changedokc.com and someone will help you find the right team for you.
  • How can I help promote Changed Women’s Ministries at my church?
We love that so many of our beloved retreat attendees want to help spread the word about our retreats! If you’re interested in promoting Changed at your church, contact partnerships@changedokc.com.
