Most of my life, I struggled with feeling like I wasn’t enough. I struggled with body image, thinking I wasn’t skinny enough or pretty enough. I spent so much time hoping no one would see the real me, trying to make up for or hide my inadequacies—only to feel like I would never measure up.
I knew what the Bible said about how I am fearfully and wonderfully made, but I was well into my adult life before I truly believed it. With God’s help, I began to believe that He sees me as beautiful, and the insecurity disappeared. The chains that held me in bondage fell away, never to return again.
That’s what I want for every woman. I know so many feel trapped, stuck in bondage, and riddled with anxiety and fear. But I want you to know that Jesus is enough. He demolishes strongholds. He eliminates fear. Whatever you’ve dealt with, even if it’s been for your whole life, it can be gone forever if you choose to give it to Him.
In our daily lives, it can be easy to forget the strength and authority we have in His name. But the name of Jesus has the power to break every chain. The name of Jesus is the only thing we need to feel peace in the midst of our current situation. The name of Jesus is what frees us from our lifelong struggles. If we believe it in faith, then we can call on the name of Jesus and the stress of whatever we are dealing with will fall away as if a chain has been broken. Nothing will seem too big because He is bigger. He is powerful. He has overcome.
My prayer for every woman is that she would encounter Jesus and let Him break every chain, demolish every stronghold, and set her free in a way she never anticipated, never expected, never imagined.
